Puzzle Piece Fundraiser

Eric and I are excited to announce that we are starting our first big adoption fundraiser -

Our Puzzle Piece Fundraiser!

You might be thinking the same thing we did, when we first heard about the idea on other adoptive parents' blogs. "What is it and how in the world does it work?" Sit tight, folks. It's fun, exciting and super-easy!

We bought a really beautiful 300-piece puzzle of an old map of Africa. The idea is to hang it in our daughter's nursery/room after we get to go through our adoption and bring her home. Now, this is where all you dear friends, family, blog readers, fellow adoptive parents and people who happen to stumble upon this and have a heart for little orphans all around the world come in!

We are "selling" each of the puzzle pieces for a $10 donation. Instead of actually purchasing the puzzle pieces, though, it's more of a sponsorship. We will write your name on the back of the puzzle piece and add it to the puzzle. When it's completed, we will frame it, so it can hang in our daughter's nursery/room. Since the back will be covered, I will print out blank sheets of puzzle pieces and write down the names, as I write them on the actual puzzle pieces and put them in her scrapbook. That way, in the future, she can look back at the names of all the people who cared enough to help bring her home to her forever family.

I will also chronicle the progress of the puzzle in photos on the Puzzle Fundraiser tab at the top of the blog every so often, so everyone can see how far we are getting with it. And then, when it's finished, we can show the big reveal of what the puzzle actually looks like! Exciting!

You can purchase your puzzle piece(s) at the top right using Paypal, and I believe, that you do not have to have a Paypal account. You can simply make a credit card transaction, and it is safe and secure. If you would like to have different names on the pieces, let me know in the description, send me a message, or leave me a comment, and we would be more than happy to do that for you.

Please feel free to spread the word about this to your friends and family, work colleagues, church members, and anyone you know who may be touched by adoption. Every little piece to the puzzle helps get us one step closer to our goal. We want there to be one less motherless and fatherless child in the world...

Will you be a piece of her puzzle?
