I am finally back with another Muffin Tin Monday! After a couple of weeks of no planning and last minute scrambling, thinking - no, I just cannot pull together a muffin tin today - I finally got my bum in gear, folks! Woot! This week's tin was inspired by our family going to see The Smurfs or as my son likes to call it The Smurms or The Smurps, whatever he may be in the mood for. It was so cute! I loved it! Love, love, love Neal Patrick Harris, love Gloria from Modern Family, (whatever her name is in real life) and love that chick from Glee (whatever her name is in real life, too). The hubs even loved it, and the son - he really loved it! Definitely buying it when it comes out on DVD, and definitely going to see the sequel, when it comes out in theatres. Too cute!

Your Favorite Pet: We had a good ol' dog named Bo. Anytime we reminisce about him, everyone cries. I can't pick between my 3 dogs now, well, I can, but I won't so, Bo it is. :)

Black or White: Black always looks better, especially with that turquoise jewelry!

Your Biggest Fear: Dying and leaving behind my child(ren).

Guilty Pleasure: Law & Order Criminal Intent on the DVR with a hot cup of hazelnut coffee in my hands. Real guilty pleasure...Vincent D'Onofrio. I can't help it.

7 RANDOM THINGS ABOUT MYSELF:

1. I hate touch screen phones. I like buttons. I can text fast with buttons. I'm a loser with a touch screen.

2. I don't think I have ever actually finished reading Gone With the Wind or Little Women. (I just saw them on my bookshelf.)

3. I seriously dislike the idea of e-readers! I like real books.

4. I used to have a serious paper doll collection, haha. Nerd alert!

5. I used to want to be a screenwriter. I even went to college for it...for two weeks.

6. I won't feel like we are settled into "our real home," until we finally live in Colorado.

7. I can bake really well, but I really only "get my bake on" during the holidays. Poor hubs.

Lessons Learned

I am linking up with Karen from Celebrate Life for this week's Lessons Learned. Here goes:

- Swiss cheese is a definite, falling-out-of-the-mouth No-Go for Mr. Toddler.

- Laundry does not like to wash itself, even if you give it plenty of time and really, really wish it to.

- No matter how much attention you give your pitiful, needy little dog, he will still try to run away every.single.chance.he.gets.

- Yelling at your dog for above reason does not make you a mean pet owner; it makes you a caring pet owner. Plus, it gets a little annoying having to cover the same hole under the same spot in the fence every.single.time.he.goes.outside.

- Dogs can be annoying.

- I love dogs.

Saturday Sweetness Vol. 1

I thought I would do a little series on the bloggy-poo here on Saturdays to let people know a little about me: Things I Like, Things I Don't Like, Little-Known Facts, etc. You know, just three little things a week to say - Here Ya' Go - Get to Know Bri - Just 3 Lil' Bits at a Time.

Thus, Saturday Sweetness was born.

Bri's Sayings

Rethink Your Situation

This is usually said to my dogs or my toddler when they are about to do something wrong; i.e. jump or stand on my couch (both dogs & toddler), chew a toy (dogs), sit on the coffee table (toddler). You get the picture. It is sort of used as a warning, kind of a precursor, you could say, to a punishment, thus giving the perpetrator the chance to correct their wrongdoing before getting in trouble, haha. I honestly don't know where I came up with it, but it has stuck, and I like it! It's catchy. Rethink Your Situation. Use it. It works. Dogs don't understand it, but they get your tone, if you say it right.

Goodness Gracious, Great Balls of Fire

This is used in lieu of Holy S%#!, and we all know why. I have a toddler, and it's not good to cuss. It's not very lady-like, or very Christian-like. And let's be honest; hearing someone say, "Goodness Gracious Great Balls of Fire" is pretty funny. And we all know where I got it from. If you haven't heard the song before, do yourself a favor and download it on iTunes. It's a cuh-lassic. Don't Google the singer's history, though, because you will find out that he married his underage cousin, and that's just not very Christian-like people...but I digress.

Geez Oh Peez

This is said all the time. Usually when I'm exasperated. That is mostly caused by the hubs putting his laundry in that one spot on the floor by the bed, instead of that one place where it goes...you know...the laundry basket. Or it's said when I'm comfy on the couch, and one of my three loving dogs is comfy on the floor below my feet, and then the garbage gas starts leaking out of his or her butt for the next hour. *Puke* Or when my toddler goes to throw something away and comes back into the living room with the garbage can lid in his hands, placing it on the coffee table. Things like that call for a "Geez Oh Peez."

MilSpouse Friday Fill-In

1. The first thing I think of in the morning is I need coffee like, now.

2. Lately, I've been craving Mexican food, because, when you take a Mexican Texan out of Texas, what else can you expect, haha?

3. Whenever anyone says the word dress-up, it reminds me of my childhood, because that's what we played.

4. The happiest word I know is child, but I am saddened that some people abuse, take advantage of and don't help care for the abandoned and poverty-stricken in this world.

5. My spouse may hate it, but I absolutely love clicking my fingernails while I'm driving - I can't help it.
